I am in the process of paying a court judgement for a old credit card debt, which is fine. At the time i recieved it i was not employed so i didnt worry too much about it, about 3 months later i got a job,so i contacted them,so i could pay my judgement order because i knew they would garnish my wages, now this person claims i owe double from what is on the judgement,am i obligated to pay anything other than what was ordered???

Unfortunately - the answer is yes.

Besides amount of judgment you may be charged interest that specified in your state statute.

Interest on judgments entered in the federal courts - is the weekly average 1-year constant maturity (nominal) Treasury yield, as published by the Federal Reserve System. - http://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/h15/current/

Absolutely,

you should request a full information about your debt and how the amount is calculated.

Please keep track of all your conversations - date/time, name and contact info of the person, what were discussed - just in case further litigations needed.
