For one, I would not sign the contract. If the dog was not included in your divorce decree then you need to contact your attorney to see if there is any way you can make an addition. In law pets are property and too can be dispersed the same as furniture etc. If she wants to be the sole owner of this property then she must be responsible for the vet bills etc. Since you have the receipt that you purchased this dog you are the owner and signing the contract will forfeit that bill of sale. Yes, the contract would be binding if she took it to court with her. Don't sign anything and either draw up your own contract or get your divorce lawyer to draw one up for you.
