I bought a motorcycle for a boyfriend and put it in both our names, our relationship ended and he took the bike with him. I now want the bike back so I can sell it and recover some of my lost. He insist that it was given to him as a gift and he owes me nothing. Am I entitled to the bike back?

writing up a legal document with payments to be included. Not sure if I take it to court I actually have a case.

Unfortunately, your boyfriend is correct. The facts as you have stated them suggest you made the motorcycle a gift. I don't think you have a winning case. If you have evidence that he made payments towards the bike on a monthly bases or had anything in writing to suggest that he was paying you for the loan on the bike, then maybe you would have a shot that there was an agreement he would pay you back. But I don't see that here.

Reply to Lawyer, Broker 's Post: Is there a law supporting his claim that he is entitled to this motorcycle, if so, what is it? Or will a judge simply rule in listening to the case.
