My doctor has perscibed sleeping pills for me then I over sleep after I get too sleep, now there threating to fire me if I cant get work on time ,which it's noramally no more than 3--8 minutes late if that I spend most of my time being doped up to function, Can you help me please this is not fair plus its favoritisum .

Ilive in Ohio, and no I did not have a contract I'am a hourly employee, #3 when I was hired the position for security monitor was what I was hired as and the shift they needed someone for was third after a day or two talking to supervisor I come to find I could possible get that shift later cause there was an open spot,So within my ninety days I asked again but keeping people on third was hard so I had to stay cause that shift was always short. But when the new ADMIN. took over I was asked what request I had and that was it.They hired a guy on third then moved him cause he was having a hard time functioning, but now I'm still on third being picked at about being late to work, but I've explain several times,I have a hared time sleeping in the day time.My doctor has gevin me sleeping pills to help but they make me sleep too sound I hardly hear the alarm go off.Now they'retrying to fire me or force me out with altermatiums.Iworked 20years as a bus driver starting most of my shifts at 5:40am I've expained that also, but the supervisor & mgtm. keeps telling me things like I'm the strenght on third, you keep things inline. But they wont increase my pay or work something out for me. Now we are short again on third, but 1st-2nd are full again. what recorse do I have.thank you.

Ohio like many states, do not protect their workers by giving them the right to work. I am sorry to say if an Ohio Employer wishes to let a employee go for any reason or no reason at all it is permissible. Without a union contract or Preemployment agreement I don't believe you have any options except to seek other employment. I know this is not the answer you want but it is my honest opinion based on my years working for the unemployment office. I often had customers that were fired for no reason at all. One man a manager of the company for 25 years, came to work and was told "There are some changes being made around here and you are one. Bye" That was his reward for 25 years of service. If I can answer any more of you questions or can help please let me know.

So what do I do about the first matter of being accused of abusing sick time even though I brought in a Doctor's slip stating I was under her care for x amount of days and I can return back to work on this day. (went back on scheduled day back.)How do I fight that .
