contract

If my husband and myself signed a Listing Contract for an exclusive listing and then my husband signed an addendum but myself and the realtor did not sign the addendum. Which was and improper addendum to begin with, is the addendum nul and void?

To my knowledge, for a contract addendum to be valid, all of the original contract signatories must sign the addendum.

In fact, if carefully read the original contract I'm certain that you will find a clause buried in that somewhere which will confirm this.

Someone at the Arizona Department of Real Estate should be able to confirm this for you as well.

Let me know if you need more input. If not, thanks for the opportunity to assist you... Please honor my efforts by pushing green 'Accept' button (located within this post -- above-right). Adding a bonus -- should you wish to do so -- would be warmly welcomed.

Good Luck!

Reply to Oreport's Post: The original real estate contract (or listing contract) which has my husband and myself listed on it, only has my husbands signature. On the addendum for an extention of the contract only my husband signed. I did not, nor did the realtor. I would think that both of these documents are not valid, is that true?
The realtor is claiming that my signature does not need to be on the contract (even though my name is listed on the contract).
